We are extremely proud of our Uniform Shop at Orange Grove – our children look fabulous and we have a great range of both new and used uniforms available. Keeping the Uniform Shop open every Wednesday morning is a big priority for the P&C, and we currently have only two volunteers to do this. We are keen to find members of the school community who are able to spare a half hour before school once a week, to learn what it takes to run the uniform shop and create a much-needed back-up for our current dedicated volunteers. Anyone is welcome to lend us a hand!!
Talk to Stephanie or Muriel in the Uniform Shop on Wednesday mornings if you can help.
Last Saturday was our very first Cake Stall for 2008, and we were lucky enough to get a glorious sunny day for it! The stall had the most astonishing array of mouthwatering goodies baked by our talented school community, and our volunteers both young and old did a brilliant job of selling and promoting our school. We raised a FANTASTIC $531.70!
Our next Cake Stall is in Term Two on June 14, when Years 3 and 4 (Stage 2) will rally our bakers and sellers once more!!
Term One is fast disappearing, but we have a special surprise in store for all our WSB riders next week! Everyone who catches the bus will get an entry form in our first ever WSB Colouring Competition to take home and hand back to the operators the next time they catch the bus. The competition will run until the end of Term, so get on the bus and get colouring! See you all next week for another fun ‘ride’ to Orange Grove, and remember, if you would like to try Driving or Conducting let one of the operators know!
P&C members at last week’s monthly meeting voted on our next priority for fundraising this year, so we now have some very exciting projects under way! Our first target is to begin the long overdue replacement of the sandpit in the main playground with a clean and secure alternative, as well as refurbishing the Preschool sandpit. We will be keeping the school community informed as we work towards this target, and providing details of future fundraising opportunities after that!
The Canteen still needs volunteers, so if you have a spare hour between 1pm and 2pm on a Tuesday or a Friday, please contact Hamid (0425 261 314) or Louise (9810-5105) or leave a note in the P&C Box (School Office) with your contact details and availability. If you would like to learn more about our canteen, drop a note in the P&C Box in the Office!
2008’s first cake stall is to be held 23rd February at the Orange Grove Farmers’ Market and is to be coordinated by Years 1&2. Boxes are available from the P&C in the week before the stall and should be returned the Friday before or at the stall early that Saturday morning.
Volunteers for the stall are required, so if you can spare an hour or two on the day please add your name to the roster located on the noticeboard at the entrance to block B.
OGPS P&C meets the third Wednesday of each month during term. February’s meeting is on the 20th at 7pm in the school library. All are welcome to come along and find out about what’s happening at the school.
A complete list of prices for uniforms available from the P&C store is here. This can be printed and used as an order form.
