Car Boot Sale and Sausage Sizzle
Thursday, May 8th, 2008
Our first Car Boot Sale for 2008 is just around the corner – if you haven’t yet booked your own ‘boot’ in, don’t forget that school community members are very welcome, and the gate charge is $30 to find some new owners for your excess goodies – just call Suzie on 0402 893 505 to reserve a spot!!
Check your diaries, if you can help out as a parker or gatekeeper (6.30am to 9am) or would like to try sizzling sausages (9am to 12.30), look for the roster on the P&C Noticeboard in Block B. We are looking forward to a really successful sunshiny day, hope to see everyone there enjoying themselves!
What: Orange Grove Car Boot Sale and Sausage Sizzle.
Date: Saturday May 24th
Where: Grass playground bordering Emmerick St
Who: Everyone welcome - $30 to bring your Car Boot!
Time: 7.30am to 12.00 (Stalls set-up at 7am)

Wests Tigers will play their first ‘home’ game on Sunday May 25th against the Gold Coast Titans. Orange Grove PS will as usual be parking cars in our school grounds between 11.30 and 2.30pm, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm. If you would like to volunteer and be part of one our most successful fundraising events, please leave your name and contact details on the roster attached to the P&C Noticeboard in Block B entrance.
The P&C will be holding a lunchtime sausage sizzle for the kids after they have completed the Cross Country and Walkathon Courses on Friday 9th. Hopefully everyone has their order in already, if there are outstanding orders children are asked to give money to their class teacher on the day.
The Mother’s Day Raffle was drawn today, and some VERY lucky mums will be having an even better Mother’s Day this Sunday! There has been a change to the 6th prize voucher – this was kindly donated by ‘Jodie McGregor Flowers’ in Annandale! Congratulations to the winners and their families, and the P&C take this opportunity to wish all of our Orange Grove school community a very wonderful Mother’s Day.
Winter is creeping up on us, but there is no surer way to warm up on a Tuesday morning than getting on board the Walking School Bus! See you all next week, and remember, if you would like to try Driving or Conducting let one of the operators know!
